The practice of canyoning in the Gorges du Loup runs from April to October. It is important to know that in the spring, the snow melts and consequently the river level is too high. The best choice being the months of July and August.
We offer several departures every day: 9h, 13h and 16h30:
The advantage of the morning schedule in the Gorges du Loup is that there are not many people to meet during our descent.
Concerning the 1pm departure, we will have a little more sunshine.
For our evening departure, we propose it only from July 15th to August 15th, because the days are longer and the air temperature is warmer. For this departure, there will be nobody left in the river, the swimmers will be gone.
Let's talk about the water temperature, it doesn't change between morning and afternoon. It's around 15 degrees.
To protect you from the cold water, we provide you with 5 mm thick neoprene one-piece wetsuits and neoprene socks as well.
If you are afraid of getting cold, we also lend you tops/mice that you should put under your canyoning suit in order to gain a few degrees of temperature.
As far as your equipment is concerned, only take a swimsuit and a pair of shoes with laces.
If you have a Gopro, please note that we have helmets with Gopro holders. Remember to check the battery, you can also take another spare battery, which we will put in the waterproof canister of the guide. You have to check that you have emptied the memory card, it's very important.
Don't take food during the activity, you must eat well before, and plan a small sandwich for your return to the car.
In order to enjoy your canyoning, we advise you to sleep well the night before and not to drink too much alcohol the night before.
To join us on the meeting place of the Gorges du Loup, there is no public transport. The only solution, if you don't have a car, or if you can't rent one, is a bus which makes the link VENCE-GRASSE, and which stops at the village of Pont du Loup. Then you have to walk 600m along the road to reach our departure base. If you are a group, we can also organize a transfer from your hotel.
If you have any hesitation about the level of difficulty, you should know that all obstacles can be avoided (abseiling, jumps and slides) and that the experts will be able to do everything. This means that in the same group, there can be different levels, and all will go all the way.
You only need to know how to swim, knowing that the wetsuit gives you buoyancy.
With all this advice, you have to make your registration concrete. In a first telephone contact, you will have to fix the day and date of the appointment, then you will have to send us a sms or a whatsapp, with the list of participants, weight and height of each one.
